Job summary

Paretos GmbH is seeking a Staff AI Backend Engineer to own the technical backbone of our Decision Intelligence platform, and to architect scalable back-end services enabling forecasting, optimization models, agentic workflows, and our semantic data layer.

You work AI-first using Claude Code or similar CLIs, MCPs, and custom skills, defining team usage and adoption, and steering the roadmap with Product and FDE, accountable to outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable backend services.
• Proven ability to drive architecture with product impact.
• Comfort with AI-first tooling and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction for the backend platform.
• Instrument feature adoption and usage metrics; steer roadmap with product.
