Job summary

Viking Utility is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to handle AP, AR deposits, and production cost analysis. In-office, full-time, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed; offers 401(k) matching, health benefits, life insurance, FSA, and wellness program.

You will review time sheets, ensure timely billing, resolve discrepancies, generate reports for management, and support divisions across multiple locations while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Full processing of accounts payable, including approvals, cross-checking with billing, coding and reporting.
• Posting daily deposits in accounts receivable for high-volume remittances and resolving discrepancies.
• Review crew timesheets and input daily production to project revenue.
• Identify errors and communicate with management to resolve.
• Maintain daily cost analysis reports to evaluate profitability by division and crews.
• Collaborate with division billing staff to ensure timely billing and month-end goals.
• Provide other support tasks to ensure team success.
• Perform regular data quality checks for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in generating reports and providing data for management.

Job description

• Full processing of accounts payable, including obtaining approvals from operating divisions, cross checking with billing, accurate coding and entering and the ability to generate accounts payable reports.
• Posting daily deposits in accounts receivable accurately for high volume remittances, including identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Review crew daily timesheets for accuracy and enter daily production to calculate projected revenue.
• Recognize errors or discrepancies and timely communicate with division management to resolve.
• Maintain daily cost analysis reports for different divisions to evaluate profitability by division and crews. Provide feedback and observations of trends.
• Collaborate with division billing staff to ensure timeliness of processing billing and meeting month end goals.
• Other support tasks to ensure team success.
• Perform regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in generating reports and providing data for management as needed.
