Job summary

Bogart Wealth, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day vendor invoices, expense reports, and overall firm spending, ensuring accurate recording and timely payments.

This role supports the quarterly billing cycle by calculating asset-based fees, generating client invoices, and processing custodian payouts.

Based in McLean, VA, the position offers a collaborative environment, attention to detail, and opportunities to contribute to financial controls.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting.
• Experience within a financial services firm or RIA is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, AP software, and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong math skills and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices by verifying, logging, and paying vendor bills accurately.
• Review employee expense reports for compliance.
• Reconcile corporate card statements weekly.
• Maintain organized digital records for tax audits.
• Respond to vendor inquiries about payment status.
• Calculate quarterly and monthly management fees based on AUM.
• Upload fee files to custodians (Charles Schwab, Fidelity) for direct debit and reconcile billing batches.
• Set up and update client billing schedules in the firm’s system.
• Audit billing data regularly to identify and resolve fee discrepancies.
