Menus & Venues is seeking a Staff Accountant to support all financial and accounting activities that affect operational results. This role expects proactive planning to meet monthly deadlines and to contribute to key projects, process improvements, and efficiencies across the finance function.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly statements, reconciling balance sheets, maintaining expense trackers, analyzing variances vs budget and prior year, and supporting monthly/quarterly close.

Formación

• 1-2 years of work experience in accounting/finance with solid knowledge of financial principles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Retail or apparel industry experience preferred.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and ability to learn accounting software; Oracle and/or Hyperion a strong plus.
• Ability to comprehend and analyze financial statements, journals, reports, reconciliations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the generation, preparation, and review of monthly financial statements and internal reports.
• Record, reconcile, and analyze monthly activity in income statements.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain expense trackers for operational departments.
• Analyze variances vs budget and prior year, explain discrepancies.
• Recommend and implement improvements to methodologies and practices.
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Provide accounting/finance support to brand partners and liaise with corporate shared services.
• Review reports to identify trends and develop benchmarking metrics.
• Collaborate with brand finance on division-related projects.
