Job summary

Carolina Handling, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the full lifecycle of payroll and commission accounting, daily cash management, and reporting. You will post payroll journal entries, manage commissions, perform reconciliations, and support month-end close in a high-volume environment.

You’ll collaborate with the Corporate Controller, Payroll, Sales, and Treasury teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, contributing to the company's financial wellbeing and overall success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience; payroll/commission/cash accounting preferred.
• GAAP knowledge; IFRS preferred.
• Excel proficiency; ERP experience required.
• Familiarity with commission systems like Captivate a plus.
• Strong detail orientation and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume, recurring deadlines across cycles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and commissions entries.
• Maintain reconciliations for payroll, compensation, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process quarterly Sales Leader Bonus calculations and auditing.
• Perform daily cash management and monthly cash reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and period-end reporting.
• Assist with audits and external requests related to payroll and compensation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivable and banking contacts to resolve discrepancies.
• Develop recurring commission dashboards and reporting for Sales Leadership.
