Vertex Education seeks a meticulous Staff Accountant for Vertex Management Services to own the month-end close for Legacy Traditional Schools, delivering audit-ready reconciliations and high-volume journal entries with precision.

You will maintain general ledger integrity in Workday, apply GAAP, compile supporting documentation for audits, and support daily cash and treasury activities while identifying efficiency improvements. Join a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with general ledger and month-end close.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal control awareness.
• ERP experience with Workday, NetSuite or Oracle; proficient Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close Execution: journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting per close calendar.
• Maintain general ledger integrity in Workday and apply GAAP policies.
• Daily cash reconciliations and treasury support; respond to campus staff inquiries.
• Document processes; identify improvements to enhance efficiency.
