Job summary

IFG Pittsburgh is seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and weekly payroll processing in Fox Chapel, PA. You will support the monthly and year-end close with reconciliations and analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and strong Excel skills. Experience with union payroll is a plus, and you will collaborate with operations and senior leadership to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Hands-on accounts payable and payroll processing required
• Payroll for union environment experience preferred
• Strong Excel capabilities
• Ability to learn new software and adapt to company systems
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable with invoice review, GL coding, vendor reconciliation, and timely payments
• Manage weekly payroll processing for union and non-union employees, ensuring accurate wages, deductions, and deadlines
• Review payroll transactions, union benefits, and reporting for compliance with CBAs and regulations
• Perform reconciliations of payroll, vendor accounts, and GL balances; resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close with journal entries and balance sheet schedules
• Develop Excel-based reports and schedules for management insights into labor costs and spending
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to improve accounting processes
