Job summary

The successful candidate should have 2–3 years of accounting experience, knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency in MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably with invoicing, payroll processing, and/or general accounting.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Experience in a hands-on, small business environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and maintain vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card reconciliation reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review billing information for accuracy, including matching invoices to Purchase Orders or Contracts and General Ledger accounts; report discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing by reviewing timecards and entering journal entries for integration with accounting software.
• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll reporting.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close and audits.
