Anticimex Carolinas is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Matthews, NC. This on-site role supports general ledger, month-end close, and reporting accuracy while contributing to process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of corporate accounting, solid GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. You’ll collaborate across departments and participate in a fast-paced environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 1-3 years of corporate accounting experience.
• GAAP and accrual-based accounting knowledge.
• Intermediate Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
• Strong detail orientation and accuracy.
• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Post general ledger journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Record and reconcile daily cash activity.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements and reporting.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects.
• Develop and document accounting procedures and best practices.
• Provide backup for various accounting functions.
