Prevailance, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in Virginia Beach, VA. The role reports to the CFO and covers general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close in a government contracting environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong GAAP foundation and the ability to manage multiple recurring cycles with high accuracy. This on-site with remote flexibility role offers comprehensive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• Strong foundation in GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with payroll processing and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support general ledger accounting and month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Maintain accounting, payroll, and disbursement records per GAAP and internal controls.
• Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Support audits with documentation and reconciliations.
