Prospera in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the CFO and team, supporting accounting and lending operations for two non-profits (501c3 and 501c4). Responsibilities include month-end close, A/R and A/P processing, bank reconciliations, loan payments, and contributing to grant reporting and audits.

This role requires a BA in accounting/finance and 3+ years of experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; finance experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide consistent and regular workflow to assist in timely monthly close of our financial statements.
• Accounts Receivable: Set up members, monthly membership billing, prepare weekly reports, invoices, and collect electronic payments.
• Accounts Payable: Set up vendors, collect W9s, bill entry, and weekly checks for payment.
• Accurately reconcile assigned bank accounts and file records per accounting and audit standards.
• Manage and record staff credit card transactions and provide monthly financial program reports.
• Enter loan payments and create billing; weekly bank deposits; monthly closing entries as assigned.
• Work with loan clients and Advisors to respond to inquiries, assist with applications, collect documents, and coordinate loan information.
• Assist in loan file creation and underwriting preparation; prepare closing documentation using Compliance One.
