NEWH is a nonprofit hospitality association seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The role supports our corporate office and 31 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe, with a strong emphasis on nonprofit accounting and GAAP compliance.

Ideal candidates will have experience with QuickBooks, multi-entity reconciliations, and collaboration with leadership and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 6–10 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online).
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily accounting operations for corporate office and 31 chapters.
• Complete monthly closing activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L reports, and other financial reports.
• Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and fund/class tracking.
• Coordinate with leadership, CPAs, and external auditors on financial reporting.
