Job summary

The Association for Individual Development (AID) in Elgin, IL is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant. You will manage the full monthly close, prepare journal entries, and analyze general ledger accounts. You’ll handle A/P, A/R, and fixed assets, performing reconciliations and preparing reports for departments and the Board.

Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred. You will support audits with the AVP of Finance and learn all phases of the Finance Department work, contributing to a stable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Familiarity with computerized accounting systems; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Must learn all phases of the finance department work and adhere to audits.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly accounts using the Finance Department checklist and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and research variances regularly.
• Manage A/P, A/R, and fixed assets with reconciliations and reports.
• Coordinate with HUD/State personnel and assist during annual audits.
