Job summary

Rock Creek Foundation is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll processing, benefits reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and grant invoicing for Rock Creek Foundation and CCRN.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 1–6 years of experience, keen attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred but not required.
• 1–6 years accounting experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Support general ledger processes and monthly analytics by location (Budget vs Actual).
• Process accounts payable and assist with AP reporting.
• Post payroll JE and assist with payroll processing.
• Prepare grant activity and invoicing for Rock Creek Foundation and CCRN.
• Prepare client accounts receivable reports and track monthly.
• Input CCRN invoices and reconcile HUD cash received for clients.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and prepare reconciliation entries.
• Prepare journal entries into Blackbaud NXT and complete training.
