Job summary

Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA is seeking an Accounting/Finance professional to manage month-end close, prepare reports, and support financial controls. This full-time role reports to the Accounting Manager and emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and practical application of GAAP.

Candidates should hold a BS in Accounting or Finance, 2–4 years of experience, strong Excel, and effective communication. Travel up to 25% to Roseville and other locations may be required; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
• Two to four years of professional accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with automated accounting systems; SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end close process including journal entries and cost center audits
• Compile monthly statistical/analytical reports
• Review cost center and internal order reports for accuracy and coordinate corrections
• Review sales margin reports for accuracy and coordinate corrections
• Maintain monthly balance sheet schedules and perform balance sheet analysis
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets
• Travel to Roseville and other subsidiaries as needed
• Perform periodic internal control audits as requested by Accounting Manager
• Adhere to safety rules and report hazards
• Maintain predictable and regular attendance
