Job summary

Canyon Equities in Grand Rapids seeks a Staff Accountant to provide essential administrative and financial support under the Corporate Controller. The role works with accounting personnel, internal departments, and external partners across the Canyon family of businesses.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of core accounting functions and be eager to deepen their experience through exposure to multiple industries and operations.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close & financial reporting duties and consolidation.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Assist with accounts receivable including invoicing and collections.
• Process vendor invoices and payments; manage supplier statements.
• Intercompany transactions and fixed asset management.
• Payroll, inventory tracking, and compliance support.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties as needed.
