Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Staff Accountant in Poway, CA to support general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. This on-site role offers exposure to fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, and audits within a collaborative finance team.

The position is contract-to-hire with pay range $28.85–$38.46 per hour. Benefits and eligibility apply; ideal for professionals with 2+ years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, including cash and credit card accounts.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals to support accurate financial reporting.
• Manage fixed asset additions, retirements, depreciation, and intangible asset amortization.
• Support sales tax registrations, filings, and reconciliations.
• Review AR aging and assist with AP-related activities as needed.
• Respond to audit requests and prepare supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial data and contribute to process improvements and accounting best practices.
• Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve accounting-related matters.
• Support special projects and ad hoc accounting analyses.
