Job summary

K&L Microwave LLC in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, inventory and cost accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–5 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Understanding of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Support inventory accounting, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
Assist with cost accounting functions including labor, overhead allocation, and product costing analysis.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.
Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations to management.
Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal management review.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Support internal audits and compliance reporting; maintain internal controls.
