Job summary

Kennebunkport Resort Collection is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support luxury hospitality operations across multiple properties. This role balances accounts payable tasks with general ledger and revenue accounting responsibilities to maintain financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity environments.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily revenue processing and reconciliation across assigned properties.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations following revenue postings.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and transaction records.
• Process and maintain Accounts Payable for Kennebunkport Resort Collection using Ottimate.
• Manage and process AP check runs and approve invoices for payment.
• Verify invoice entries for accuracy and coding.
• Set up and maintain vendor records in Ottimate.
• Ensure all vendor W-9 forms are collected and maintained.
• Support year-end 1099 processing.
• Ensure AP transactions are processed efficiently and on schedule.
• Reconcile Cash Depository Accounts, Guest Ledger Accounts, and Advance Deposit Ledgers.
• Manage Sales & Use Tax filings for applicable properties.
• Assist with Site Safe audit requirements.
• Prepare and maintain various corporate accounting schedules.
