Job summary

CFS in Wisconsin is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a family-owned organization with a strong reputation and growth trajectory. You will prepare and review monthly financial statements with input from the offshore accounting team.

The role includes month-end close, journal entries, asset schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations, plus mentoring others and supporting internal controls in a hybrid work environment with occasional remote days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong month-end close, general ledger, and multi-entity accounting experience.
• Self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements prepared by the offshore accounting team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and support balance sheet reconciliations.
• Serve as a backup to the Accounting Manager and assist with workflow coordination and mentoring of the accounting team.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, support internal controls, and assist with special projects as assigned.
