Job summary

Novogradac is seeking Staff Accountant Interns for the 2027 busy season (Jan 2027–Mar 2027). The program exposes interns to audit, tax, and research while offering hands-on experience at a growing national CPA firm.

Interns work toward a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, with GPA 3.2+, and may be on track to sit for the CPA examination. Remote or hybrid options may be available depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
• GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Coursework in Intermediate Accounting and CPA exam prep recommended
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work under close supervision and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by Supervisor or Manager
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements
• Conduct business-specific research, gather and analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports for principals and partners
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow-through
• Other duties and projects as assigned
