Horizon in Getzville, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare monthly journal entries and grant entries, perform account reconciliations, and monitor daily cash balances to support operations and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and grant entries to ensure accurate and timely month end close processes.
• Perform completion and analysis of account reconciliations.
• Maintain careful oversight of daily cash balances to support ongoing operations and monitor investments.
• Collaborate with finance team members to gather, organize, and prepare documentation for the annual audit.
• Assist with finance ad-hoc projects.
