What you’ll do:

  • The Staff Accountant II, LBS Finance Site Liaison, serves as a primary contact for hospital sites, addressing financial queries and supporting accounting issues.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the end-to-end general ledger close process for designated sites/entities, including checklists and post-close reviews.
  • Supporting and improving accounting standardization initiatives.
  • Maintaining a controlled and compliant close process, checklists, and post-close activities.
  • Performing P&L and balance sheet analysis for designated sites/entities as directed.
  • Supporting hospital leadership with post-close analysis, review, and reporting, including hospital MOR and operational reviews.
  • Providing direct site support during the close process.
  • Collaborating with the LBS Technical Accounting team and hospital leaders on complex accounting issues.
  • Managing joint venture accounting, reporting, and distribution for related sites.
  • Supporting hospital leaders with annual budget summaries.
  • Assisting with post-close review, analysis, and explaining hospital projection trends and variances.
  • Ensuring internal controls safeguard assets and systems generate accurate, timely financial reports.
  • Maintaining hospital balance sheet integrity through reviews and controls.
  • Explaining variances in financial accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Serving as liaison with external stakeholders for financial reporting.
  • Working with hospital leadership to meet operating metrics aligned with strategic goals.
  • Maintaining regular attendance.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - External

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in accounting, preferably in healthcare or hospitals.
  • Certifications: CPA preferred.
  • Licenses: Active CPA license required.
