Job summary

Precision Castparts, a leader in aerospace and industrial components, is seeking an accounting professional to manage general accounting duties for US and UK entities, including month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition compliance, and cash management.

The role supports intercompany transactions, VAT filings, audits, and SOX compliance, with backup coverage for Greenville and opportunities to contribute to special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Four years’ experience with multi-site accounting preferred.
• Sox experience preferred (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting for US & UK entities including month-end close.
• Reconcile intercompany activity and conduct SVAR/variance analysis.
• Assist with annual statutory audits and VAT filings.
• Ensure SOX compliance and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Perform backup for Greenville entity and other ad hoc projects.

Summary

This position will perform several accounting duties including accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, revenue recognition compliance, cash management, month-end closing and various other general accounting responsibilities.

This position will perform several accounting duties including accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, revenue recognition compliance, cash management, month-end closing and various other general accounting responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for general accounting duties for both US & UK entities, including month-end closing activities
• Complete and reconcile in transit activity
• Assist with annual statutory audit requests
• VAT management, completion and filings
• Complete backup responsibilities for Greenville entity as required
• Complete various intercompany accounting transactions
• Work closely with the operations team to resolve any true‑up issues
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including sub ledgers. Research any discrepancies.
• Complete various reporting requests as needed.
• Adhere to all SOX requirements to ensure full SOX compliance.
• Liaison with auditors including internal, external and SOX audits.
• Complete special projects including internal, division and corporate requests.
• Be able to meet strict deadlines.
• Perform all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Four years’ experience with multi-site accounting preferred
• Sox experience preferred
