Job description

Position Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Controller and other Staff in preparing financial statements and organizing, preparing, logging, maintaining, updating and monitoring company accounting files

Essential Functions/Accountabilities:
  • Participate in the monthly close process;
  • Initiate and process journal entries; accounts receivable invoices and deposits
  • Prepare and continually update various accounting schedules, including depreciation and property taxes;
  • Reconcile and analyze accounts on a monthly basis;
  • Prepare analysis reports;
  • Provide information and assistance to other departments by explaining account transactions and resolving accounting issues;
  • Provide improvement suggestions for existing departmental procedures or innovate with new ideas; and
  • Assist with special projects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Minimum Requirements:
  • A four-year degree (Bachelor’s degree) in accounting required;
  • One to three years related accounting experience, with specific experience in analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts;
