Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare is a nationwide network of clinics and support services seeking an Accountant II to provide responsive service to clients and internal teams. You will manage daily accounting tasks within a healthcare environment, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will work closely with physicians, care center staff, and leadership to resolve issues, support month-end close, and deliver insightful financial narratives that guide business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Three years' experience working as an Accountant in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

  • Posting transactions to QuickBooks (i.e. weekly transactions, revenue, payroll transactions, AP, miscellaneous journal entries, and any off cycle transactions)
  • Reconciliation of monthly bank statements
  • Reviewing the monthly activity to ensure proper posting
  • Interacting with physicians, care center staff, operational leaders, corporate accounting and finance leadership to resolve accounting issues while ensuring the highest level of customer service
  • Assisting with General Ledger and month end closing process for multiple entities
  • Reclass credit cards and other allocations
  • Assistance with preparation of monthly reporting packages
  • Record benefits
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record staff allocations and shared expenses
  • Review wire transfer details
  • Provide financial insights into business drivers
  • Interpret reports and provide a clear narrative on results
  • Support clients through variance analysis and financial modeling
  • Prepares Ad hoc analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Three years' experience working as an Accountant in the healthcare field preferred
  • Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word
  • Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience communicating logically and clearly both orally and in writing
  • Strong presentation skills

  • Experience working with Pivot Tables, Vlookup and other formulas
