Job Summary

The Staff Accountant II responsibilities include supporting the accounting department with more complex month-end close procedures. A successful staff accountant II will accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.

PURPOSE + IMPACT (Duties & Essential Functions)

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Perform more complex and detailed reconciliations of data from multiple information systems
• Support financial and tax audits by compiling data requests
• Support accounting management in implementing processes and procedures
• Respond to information requests from management and team members
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment (public or private)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/ year-end close process
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus
