Responsibilities
Summary

The Staff Accountant, under direct supervision, provides primary support in the Treasury department including but not limited to the recording of daily cash receipts and disbursements, reconciliation of the Company's domestic corporate bank accounts, and month-end close.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares the daily cash reconciliation reports.
  • Prepares accounting entries for all Corporate bank activities.
  • Prepares journal entries to record transactions in the ZBA Political contribution accounts.
  • Prepares accounts reconciliations for domestic cash accounts.
  • Handles all month-end closing processes for all corporate bank accounts.
  • Assists with quarterly Balance Sheet review.
  • Maintains Treasury's shared files containing current and previous day reports, wire/ACH payments, bank statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Attends meetings and training as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists with ad hoc ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in using spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work assignments with self-discipline and motivation.
  • Ability to learn the practical application and principles of accounting for an organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to follow standard and routine instructions relating to monthly accounting entries, analysis, and report compilation.
  • Proficiency in working with computers and relevant software used by the department.
