AAA Northeast is seeking an Accountant I to support accounting operations in the Finance & Accounting team. You will assist with compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing journal entries, and coordinating with the forecasting/planning function to ensure timely monthly close.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 1–3 years of related experience, with opportunities to expand responsibilities under supervision as you gain expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting required.
• 1-3 years related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist compilation and analysis of financial information to prepare entries to general ledger.
• Assist timely completion of standard journal entries to facilitate monthly closing.
• Develop accounting data to prepare reports and statements.
• Coordinate with Forecasting and Planning team.
• Prepare account reconciliations, analysis, accruals, and journal entries for management and external auditor.
• Identify opportunities for procedural enhancements and alert management of potential fraud.
