Job summary

The Staff Accountant I role supports audits, reviews, compilations and tax returns, with opportunities for growth, remote work options, and a strong team culture.

Under supervision, you will assist in tax returns for individuals and businesses, perform bookkeeping, and communicate with reviewers and principals.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Strong knowledge of US tax regulations and form preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares workpapers and individual tax returns.
• Performs bookkeeping tasks for individuals and estate/trusts.
• Completes corporate accounting engagements and prepares financial statements.
• Communicates with reviewer, Manager or Principal as needed.
• Works extra hours during tax season.
• Maintains client correspondence and professional relationships.
