Job summary

B Riley Securities seeks a Staff Accountant I in a hybrid Memphis role. The candidate will assist the Securities team with month-end close, gather financial information, and support various accounting processes.

Reporting to an Accounting Manager, this entry-level position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and at least one year of relevant experience, with strong Excel/Outlook skills; NetSuite is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Minimum one year of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; Excel and Outlook; NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare cash receipt entries for check deposits, wire, and ACH.
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly close, system reports, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support audits, inquiries, and schedules; ensure timely task completion.
