Baysora is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the monthly close for a portfolio of mature OpCos. The role focuses on reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules within a standardized close process.

As part of a growth-focused family-backed portfolio, you will shadow the Senior Accountant during onboarding and expansion, leveraging AI tools to scale workflows and ensure audit-ready documentation across all closes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience is acceptable for recent graduates.
• Must be able to follow an established process precisely and consistently.

Responsabilidades

• Run the monthly close for a portfolio of mature OpCos following an established, standardized process.
• Prepare account reconciliations, standing journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Flag exceptions and unusual items to the Senior Accountant or Group Controller rather than resolving them independently.
• Learn the onboarding and growth-stage work by shadowing the Senior Accountant, building toward that next step.
• Leverage AI and automations to scale/accelerate processes.
• Maintain clean, audit-ready documentation for every close.

About the Role

Baysora grows by acquiring boutique tax and accounting firms and bringing them into our portfolio as operating companies (OpCos). Each OpCo moves through onboarding and a growth phase, where our Senior Accountants convert its books to accrual accounting and build a repeatable monthly close. Once that process is standardized, the Staff Accountant takes over. You'll run the monthly close for a portfolio of mature OpCos, preparing reconciliations, recurring journal entries, and supporting schedules on a predictable cadence and flagging anything unusual to the Senior Accountant or Group Controller. This is the starting point of Baysora's accounting career path. You'll shadow the Senior Accountant on onboarding and growth-stage work, building the experience to move into that role as the portfolio grows.
