Golden State Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant in Sausalito, offering a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite / 1 day remote) and a base salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus discretionary bonus. The ideal candidate may have 1+ year of accounting experience; recent graduates with strong internships or coursework are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 0-2+ years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Comfortable working in Excel and learning new systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions.
• Team-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile cash, revenue, and other financial activity.
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Work with different departments to ensure accurate financial information.
• Help improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Support special projects and other areas of the accounting team as needed.
