Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our General Accounting Cash Team. You will prepare journal entries, perform analyses, assist with month-end close, and support audits while identifying process improvements to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and MS Office.
• Experience with a general ledger system.
• Experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the monthly close process, ensuring all reporting deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly work papers, bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Take ownership of your work and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
