Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, reconciliations, debit/credit, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, lookup, PivotTables).
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Critical thinking for researching discrepancies, asking questions, resolving issues, escalations when needed.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Professional communication skills (verbal & written) with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple clients with accounting, reconciliation, and compliance tasks, including financial reporting and month-end closes.
• Reconcile accounts, manage the general ledger, and prepare financial statements and schedules.
• Assist with budgets, grant accounting, 2 CFR Part 200 reviews, payroll analysis, and client-specific requirements.
• Utilize Excel and accounting procedures; adapt processes to client funding structures and reporting needs.
