The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, solid Excel skills, and experience with journal entries and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant-level general accounting experience.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience working within an ERP/accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Review bank statements and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile payroll entries within the accounting system.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable, invoice coding, check runs, and cash disbursements.
• Support billing, including preparing monthly draws and submitting invoices to funders.
• Reconcile payments to invoices and the general ledger.
• Track grant receivables and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits and the annual budgeting process.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with additional accounting projects as needed.
