Job summary

ReliaQuest, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa to manage accounting transactions under US GAAP, ensure accurate reporting, and support controls. This hands-on role covers month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, strong Excel and communication skills, and 0–2 years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience. ReliaQuest offers a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and how to apply them.
• Excellent MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable and contact customers to arrange payment.
• Prepare reports on unpaid accounts and progress toward collection.
• Review transactions and ensure proper recording in financial systems.
• Perform monthly close tasks with supporting documentation.
• Prepare journal entries with complete documentation.
• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide research and analysis to resolve discrepancies.
• Answer inquiries from vendors, employees, and customers.
• Prepare documentation for annual financial audits.
• Assist with the purchase order process and internal service.
• Deliver high-level customer service to internal departments.
