The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and help produce management reports to enable informed decision-making. Experience in accounting or finance is required, along with GAAP knowledge and a valid racing license as per state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• At least one year of accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal series for input to the General Ledger and accounting subsystems.
• Assists with preparing financial statements and management reports to support informed decision‑making.
• Supports compliance and reporting cycles by assisting with daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Ensures accurate financial reporting by analyzing and reconciling data, adjusting accounts as needed.
• Assists with strengthening internal controls and monitoring accounting procedures and systems.
• Leverages technology to develop and maintain both manual and automated financial reporting systems.
• Identifies discrepancies, escalates issues, and conducts independent research for accuracy.
• Provides auditors with requested documents and supports tax compliance tasks.
• Collaborates with regulators and stakeholders to ensure standards adherence.
