Select Custom Solutions in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage financial records, support monthly close, and ensure GAAP compliance. This role collaborates with AP, AR, and reporting teams to deliver accurate statements and actionable insights for business units.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, has at least three years of accounting experience, and preferably ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in accounting or related field required.
• ERP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the daily operations of the finance department including the processing of revenue, expenditures, general ledger and account maintenance; ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations
• Complete fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts and other cash-related accounts; support cash reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain supporting documentation
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal management reporting
• Analyze account reconciliations and assist with month‑end and year‑end operations
• Assist with audits and system implementations or process automation
• Back up other accounting positions and recommend financial actions by analyzing options
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
