Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger maintenance. You will report to the Director of Finance or Controller and help ensure accurate transactions, budgeting support, and audit readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and at least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred but not required.

• Maintain accurate records and financial data in the accounting system.
• Support tax filings, state and local compliance requirements, and financial reporting deadlines.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant at Black Desert Resort is responsible for assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Reporting to the Director of Finance or Controller, this role ensures accurate and timely financial transactions, supports budgeting and audit processes, and helps maintain compliance with accounting policies and standards. The Staff Accountant will work closely with multiple departments to support the resort’s financial operations and strategic goals.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
