Job summary

Black Desert Resort, located in Southern Utah, seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting operations across entities. You will handle financial reporting, month-end close, cash management, internal controls, and audit support to drive operational excellence under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Finance.

You will partner with department leaders and ownership groups, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2–3 years hospitality accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with AP, AR, general accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and GL maintenance.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, income auditing, and payroll coordination.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; prepare journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare financial statements, operational analyses, and KPI tracking for leadership and owners.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls across entities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
• Coordinate audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Mentor accounting staff and maintain data confidentiality.
