Highway Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team in Oregon. You will support all major accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, banking, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and integrity of our numbers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience in an accrual environment, familiarity with ERP systems, and strong analytical skills. This role offers growth within a collaborative, manufacturing-focused department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience in AP/AR/GL and reconciliations.
• Experience in accrual-based accounting.
• ERP experience with NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or MS Dynamics.
• Power BI or BI reporting experience; SQL/Crystal Reports a plus.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently within a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist full-cycle general ledger accounting with journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Generate customer invoices and billing statements.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on balances.
• Process vendor invoices with proper coding and approvals.
• Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Maintain audit-ready records and strengthen internal controls.
