Job summary

Amp Americas is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in Chicago. The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis, reporting to the Controller and collaborating with finance, asset management, legal, and operations.

The team works on RNG projects and capital expenditures; candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of corporate accounting or audit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2+ years of work experience in corporate accounting or audit.
• Experience with multiple subsidiary organizations is preferred.
• Experience with accounting for capital projects is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Aptitude for solving problems independently and an interest in renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily and monthly accounting activities for assigned subsidiary companies, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and accruals.
• Collaborate with Asset Managers to produce monthly financial reports for RNG projects, including budget vs actual analysis and insights.
• Field and resolve inquiries from management, ownership, and external auditors.
• Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting tools and special projects.
