Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the close process and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. You will help with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls while collaborating across teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 1–2 years of experience, and strong Excel skills; NetSuite experience is preferred, with CPA/CPA-eligible candidates favored.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own key areas of the close process, including accruals, cash, and prepaids.
• Prepare schedules for external auditors and respond to requests.
• Identify process improvements and automation to strengthen controls.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analyses.
