Hungerford is seeking a Staff Accountant in its Client Advisory Services group to help maintain accurate financial information and streamline accounting processes for a diverse client portfolio in West Michigan.

You'll work with QuickBooks Online, BILL, Gusto, and Asana, collaborating with experienced advisors to build your technical accounting and consulting skills across nonprofit and for-profit clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Completion of a previous accounting internship or relevant accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine accounting functions and balance sheet reconciliations for client accounts.
• Manage accounts payable processes and maintain vendor records.
• Process payroll and payroll tax reporting activities.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns accurately and on time.
• Assist with annual information reporting requirements, including 1099 filings.
• Develop proficiency in client accounting and workflow technologies, including QuickBooks Online, BILL, Gusto, and Asana.
• Monitor project budgets, deadlines, and client expectations.
• Communicate proactively with clients and internal team members to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Support special accounting, reporting, and advisory projects as assigned.
