Hungerford in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Tax Senior Accountant to deliver tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base. You will work with clients and team members to develop solutions, identify opportunities, and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
• 2+ years of public accounting tax experience required.
• CPA license preferred or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax concepts and GAAP.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, trust, corporation, and S corporation tax returns.
• Assist with tax planning, projections, and strategic tax initiatives for clients.
• Evaluate tax notices and prepare responses for taxing authorities.
• Support compliance engagements, including partnership filings and other projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advice.
• Mentor and support staff accountants and interns.
• Contribute to departmental processes, initiatives, and firm goals.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency and client service.
• Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement activities.
