Job summary

Ascend Talent Partners is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a nationally recognized CPA firm with a people-first culture. You will work on monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for multiple clients, with CPA exam support and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services for multiple clients.
• Prepare general ledger accounts, schedules, and financial statements.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist clients with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Prepare sales tax filings and other compliance reports.
• Process payroll and payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, W-2, and 1099.
• Work directly with clients to provide responsive, accurate accounting support.
