Job summary

NACBA seeks a Staff Accountant to support the Corporate Accounting Department in the monthly close process. You will analyze the financial performance of various TV stations, prepare monthly journal entries, and ensure compliance with internal SOX controls, enabling accurate financial reporting.

The role involves preparing depreciation and other ledger entries for ~30–40 markets, performing CIP reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset records, and assisting with audits and ad hoc accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with attention to detail.
• Minimum two years' experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis, preferably in broadcast industry or public company environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly accounting journal entries, including depreciation and general ledger entries for ~30–40 markets.
• Complete monthly CIP reconciliations for designated markets and review with Chief Engineers and RBMs for capitalization or expensing per GAAP.
• Maintain Station Fixed Asset records, including depreciation and asset disposals in the Fixed Asset system; conduct annual fixed asset inventories.
