Crete United is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join one of our partner companies, Emerald Built Environments, in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, in-office role focuses on daily accounting, month-end close, and project-based accounting while supporting FP&A questions from leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Viewpoint Spectrum.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, accruals, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Experience with job costing or project-based accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and review daily banking transactions.
• Record and review bank-related payroll entries and intercompany transactions.
• Record prepaid expenses and amortization schedules.
• Enter and reconcile Ramp transactions.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with forecasting meetings.
