lrsrecycles is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting team with monthly journal entries, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and expense processing. The role involves ad hoc reporting, coordination with auditors, and cross-functional collaboration to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, 1–3 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables).
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience with Sage 300, TRUX, Platform, Tower, QuickBooks is valuable.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and participate in the monthly close process including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accrual schedules to recognize revenue and expense timely.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and expense account reviews.
• Maintain fixed assets in the subledger and depreciation tracking.
• Set up vendor information for Accounts Payable and process employee expense reports.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and support cross-functional problem solving.
• Assist with process improvements and cross-training initiatives.
• Prepare state/local filings as required.
